Battle scene

Any suggestins on creating a fantasy battle scene?  Getting that balance is hard, too many figures looks crowded but too few makes it look naff!

Not really my thing but two things  fwiw:

Use depht of field to make your subject "pop"!

Use motion blur to enhance the action!
