Black - you can't have less than 0% so there's no need for negative values.
Thanks Richard, that's what I thought it might be, but I had to be sure... I almost posted on the 3DL forums, but something told me that the shaders we use might treat things different... Tell me, do you know that what we have is simply the defaults that everyone deals with in 3DL? For instance, the Bump and Displacement being neutral at Gray 128?
Bump and displacement are neutral at mid grey because the Min and max values are equal and opposite. All control maps are zero at black and white at 1 - so black is Min, white is max and mid-grey is half-way between the two. If you set the Min to 0 and Max to 1 then mid-grey would be .5 cm of displacement.
