Is there a simple green grass model for daz3? I am not after anything fancy but just some grass for a garden scene. Can anyone recommend any simple grass? ty.

Depends on how detailed you want it. Predatron's grass is very nice, but if you want somehting like a simple grassy ground there are several items that have a ground plane included.

The platinum club 3D starter bundle MIGHT have had some. I can't locate it at the moment, and I did something really weird with splitting up my installer and manually moving files around .

search the DAZ store for "grass", you'll find other products too.

If you own Bryce, you can send some of your Bryce grasses to Studio. (haven't tested them all yet, but the first one I tried just now sent just fine.)

Herald of Fire

More recently released was the Infinite Gardens pack from Merlin Studios. It has a lot of great props for garden scenes including the best grass I've ever found. If you want decent looking turf, I can't recommend this one highly enough.

Sockratease

If DAZ Studio 3 has it, then try Dynamic Hair.

It makes nice grass.

And Teapots make nice objects to use in a surface replicator with a Cow as the target.
