DAZ Studio on Linux (WINE)

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Does anyone know how to install DAZ Studio 4.5 (x64) on Wine64?

Using a clean bottle, what should I install first to make it work? (I tried to install vcrun2005, vcrun2008 and vcrun2010 but the last one seams to be problematic)

Do I have to set any DLLs as native?

Also, do you know which version of wine that is the most stable one to use for this?

Using the version from Ubuntu/KXStudio the GUI freezes often and I'm not able to load several scenes that I just have saved.

Give it time and someone will hepefully help out. There are a few who do use Daz Studio on Linux on the forums here but it is all dark magic to me and my mum always told me to stay away from dark magic. :)

You could drop a PM to Kendall Sears, he is a linux expert, and regularly in the forums.
