Curiouser and curiouser...

I was finally getting round to reinstalling the last of my Curious scenery sets earlier today, and I realised something when I was sorting out which extra texture went with which original scene.

In the store, we still don't have a reliable way of seeing what expansion sets there are for a given original set — whether scenery, clothes, props, whatever. We now have (mostly) reliable links from the expansions back to the originals, but the other way round depends on something turning up in the "Related Items" column, which isn't very. Dependable, that is.

Taking my example of the Curious sets, I think I have all of them, and I have texture expansions for everything except Curious Bank and Curious Dead End. And is Curious Hallway the only set with more than one? (Hither And Yon and Hallways.) Those forward links in the store pages — which, like a lot of other useful stuff, we did have in the old store — would let me see at a glance if I'd missed anything. And the store search is no help, searching on "curious" only gave me less than half of the actual Curious sets, plus a bunch of the expansions, and one item totally unconnected. (Only one? I must have been on a roll...)

Has anyone put in a feature request for this forward linking? If not, I might do it myself. It would have saved a lot of wear and tear on the nerves during MM, for one thing.

    I'd forgotten about those bundles, but that doesn't really help much — there are a lot more than that in the complete Curious collection, and some extras were tossed into the bundles because they fitted the theme. It was just an example anyway; it's just an apparently basic failing in the new store, that it just can't link forward to items dependent on whatever store page you're looking at. Or maybe it can, and DAZ has just been too busy clubbing alligators for the last nearly-a-year to get it set up...?

    I'd have to agree the store could use a dose of Smart Content.

    Not only do the related products not have a special link from the product page, but the items that do show up on the right side switch out.

    When I go to a product page, I look at the product blurb. When I hit the back button is when something catches my eye over on the right column. Too late. I'm back on the previous page, hit the forward button and the thumb I noticed before is gone. :(

    It's annoying as heck.
