Alien Muscial Instruments Suggestions

I would like to recreate an alien band similar to Max Rebo's Band, but the hardest issue I am having is finding props that can pass off as alien instruments, like Max Rebo's keyboard. "Horns" and "Drums" are the easiest to recreate; so im not overly concerned with those types of instruments.

Any suggestions?

There are also several alien-looking instruments here

Well, I'll pack it after I clean it up and UV map it.
I just make a quick one but it is 58K polygons and can be optimized
Also it is completely static, if it is ok with you.
I can make all keys separate objects so you can imitate the pressed state, but I can't predict how grouping in Poser would work from out of DS export.
Do you need more keys? Also it is 270 degrees instrument, not sure if it is believable to have one unless the player is an octopi.

If you can make the key pressable that would be great. I dont need anymore keys, I will work it out.

    Thanks!

If its alot of work, dont't worry about it. Its not that big a deal. I can deal with it as is.

I'd love some alien musical instruments for sci-fi renders.

And maybe not *EXACTLY* an Octopi... but i think he can manage the instrument.

    :) I see

Well, I managed to kick the polygon count down to about 26K, I don't think I can make it any less so without losing the smooth look, so I'll start UV mapping today. MJ007, are you using Poser or DS?
As for other alien instruments, what sort of instruments would you like? Like, string, horns, keyboards?

Well you already covered the keyboard. I would like some kinda punk rocker guitar like the one attached. But whatever alien twist it had would be fine with me. If i had an alien horn like the one the one-eyed pink guy has, or one like the 3rd from the left "Booty head" has, that would be awesome! The only thing i would be missing is some sorta alien-looking drums for my drummer.

    And I use DS2.3.

There are some free guitars that look similar. I will try to make a morph for them to make them look more alien - I'm afraid, guitars are too complicated for me to make.

    That works for me!
Can you point me to them?

You might find some things in my Morphing Primitives pack. There are 50 different morphing props. You could make some pretty weird combinations.

    Well, it is ready.
I was unable to make a smartpropped pp2 with separate keys so it is a static obj; I have a variation with all keys as separate objs in case if you wish to make a moveable props youself. There is a bit of UV stretch on the back of the main base, but it isn't very noticeable unless you use a checkboard-like pattern. Side keyboard has separate zones so you can tile those textures separately. There are also several keys that have a different matzone in case if you wish to make them special keys.
It is scaled for sitting Genesis scale in DS, but initial scale is from Cinema4D (in cms). I can rescale it for Poser scale if you wish.

    Poser scale would be preferred.
    Thanks Kattey!
