Female explorer / archarologist

edited October 2017 in Product Suggestions

Does such a product exist as a costume (for G3f) suitable for a female explorer/archarologist/adventurer, in a sort of quasi Victorian/Edwardian/1920s style? Something like this:

If not then that might be good for someone to create.

You have my vote. I generally have to kitbash various products to do those kinds of renders.

And that's an interesting site, with wonderful work on display.

  • Yeah, that's a great outfit. I'd love to see stuff like that.

  • I third this proposal.  Maybe someone that looks like a favoured Comic Book adventurer who is often mistaken for being a "Grave Robber".  Nudge Nudge wink wink.

yea, need a good outfit like that

  • If you want a female spin on one particular archeologist/adventurer, try this: https://www.daz3d.com/diana-and-jones-outfit-for-genesis-2-male-s-and-female-s

Tried to kitbash from existing sets, mostly for G2M.  Included here:

Pants, boots, and belt accessories (holster, canteen, pouches) from Oskarssons "Uniforms for Michael 6" https://www.daz3d.com/uniforms-for-michael-6

Shirt, vest, tie from Lucciano for Genesis 2 Male:  https://www.daz3d.com/lucciano-for-genesis-2-male-s

Bandolier from Piratess for Genesis 2 Female:  https://www.daz3d.com/piratess-for-genesis-2-females

In the second image, as an experiment I tried to get the "one sleeve rolled up" look as in the linked example. To do so, I fit the shirt from the "Diana and Jones outfit" chris-2599934 linked to in the post above and used the geometry editor to make all the polys except those in the left sleeve invisible.  Then I used geometry editor on the lucciano shirt to make the left sleeve invisible. That's why the left sleeve looks so much more detailed than the righ sleeve, different models / products used.

Hair is Marisandra hair from AprilYHS (old V4 hair, parented to G3F)

I used various shaders including "A Touch of Dirt for Iray" on the pants and boots to make them a bit less pristine looking.  For the pants, I had to use a modeler to morph the legs to get that jodhpur look. Oskarsson sells a pair of jodhpur pants on that other big site but I don't own them so I made do.

It's not perfect and nowhere near as nice as the example linked but it's the best I could do.
