2.5D Camera or software for a building render and for a sprite - Tilebased straight edges needed.

Greetings I am trying to render a 2.5D image for a tilebased game engine, using 3D Models.

It needs to show more than just the straight on view, a bit of the roof is needed as well, like a 2.5D isometric view. However when I render larger objects at 45 degrees presently, I get the walls at an angle outwards, both sides angled outward. I need them instead to be straight. Completely straight if possible, as this is a tilebased game engine, they need to line up. I can zoom all the way out, and this helps, but this leaves the buildings/objects too small to be of use.

I am willing to pay for a piece of software to do this if I can get a completely straight edge to my renders, with some of the roof showing. Like you'd get if you did a pure side view, with the roof there above it.

Also I am looking at sprites next so anything which renders sprites easily from Daz, or you've found of use, will help too.

Many thanks for helping a new member, I have held off buying anymore till I can sort this out.

Daz can do this just fine. Create a camera and then turn off Perspective in the parameters tab. This will uniformly scale everything on screen allowing you to easily create isometric tiles.

You can make sprites with Project Dogwaffle using renders of a figure from DAZ they have been rendered n the Carrara forum has a very large thread on using Project Dogwaffle.
