    Ooo!

Another thing to try is keeping the original texture in the base color or in one iridescent color (for the simple iridescent shader, the 5 color doesn't take maps).

Just remember that the color will add, so it can't be too dark.

Another thing to try is an outfit with multiple color options, put two different options into the iridescent colors.

Oh, I hadn't thought of putting it in the iridescent color. I like that. I did put it in bump.

Is it possible to do a preset where it keeps the original bump maps/textures, like ParrotDolphin's shaders do? That is a very handy tool, saves time when stuff doesn't get blown away.

Yes; if you want to save your own shader presets, you can expand the tree and pick what values are saved and which are not. In this case, you'd select most of it except Bump/Normals.

Thanks, Will. I must be doing something wrong. Every time I've tried to save as a shader preset, I get a message (can't remember off the top of my head, I'll check when I have DAZ open again.) I've ended up saving as material presets for now.

I picked these up as a last-day purchase and even having a sense of your clever work, Will, I was impressed. Lemme see if I can dig up my first test render through my phone.

I used the new shaders on her hair and dress. I love the texture of both.

  • Really liked what I saw when these showed up in the store, a cool effect and a lot of potential for different effects in the shader settings.

So of course the first thing I did was try it on fur and liquids which was really tough on my laptop. But! I like where this is going. Took a few tries to get the liquid to look less like confetti (by the way, this makes great confetti), and I think the effect is very nice. Thanks for these, and looking forward to more shaders in the future!

Working with dForce and trying out a V4 clothing item on G3F, I decided to give your shaders a try. The Super Bodysuit for G3F is using the red velvet. The V4 Wizard Robe first had a woven texture applied, which made the whole thing iridescent. I really loved that. but I didn't really like the turquoise with the red velvet. After applying several settings, I went with the gold lame and changed the colors to shades of red. I love, love, love how that turned out. I applied the fairie Rainbow shader on the Mec4d's Underwater Hair and tweaked the colors. then I added back the opacity map from the hair.

I really expect to get a lot mileage out of these shaders, Will. What a great first product. Now I'm looking forward to your next shaders product.

Products are coming... consider that a threat! Heh

But in our hearts, you will always be Will Bear. LOL

Here's a promo I did recently for the clown suit and hair that just came out. I added your shaders on HP Penny's sandals and her dress (though you can't see much of it.) These shaders really are fun to work with!
