Transfer Utility Morph crazziness

Hi,

When using the Transfer Utility and choosing the "Morph" templates option when fitting clothing from one Generation to Genesis I found this yesterday. See the image below. This is just too crazy. It's like EVERY morph there is is now in there making it nearly impossible to find the basic shapes such as M4 or Freak 4 without spending 5 minutes scrolling. See the bar to the right, yea, there are THAT MANY MORPHS now in this area. I'm hoping to God this is a bug that DAZ is aware of but if not .....

Is there a way to kill all those unneeded templates? I mean really, there are breast and teeth morphs included. Sorry I'm not planning on fitting clothing to teeth, nor just to breasts. I'm not pleased at all by this.

I've submitted a report so if this is bothersome to you too please add a note:
Bug Report here: https://bugs.daz3d.com/view.php?id=50133

Thanks!

so far as I can tell, you can only use one of them at a time anyway, so I would just apply the morph and use Current if that's an option... I'm trying to remember if there's a reason you must use the morph template over current... but I can't think of one...

If you dial up the shape like say M4, you would use Current. If you wish to use the templates and don't want to then choose Morph and the list dialog will pop up.. This list used to have like MAYBE 15 shapes in it. Now there are literally hundreds in there. As I mentioned there are morphs listed for things like breasts and teeth and eye shapes. I'm wondering if these are Zevo's sets that got added to this area by mistake??

RAM, I may be wrong, but I don't think it's true about the morph list having only 15 shapes in it. There's a tutorial by Bobbie25 on Youtube made for DS4.0 that showed her selecting V4 from that list... and it had hundreds of morphs in it. Forgive me if I misunderstood what you said...

you'll have to show me that vid because a couple of months ago there was a very nice simple list of FB shaping morphs and not all these partial morphs!

I may be wrong, but I don't think that "Morph" in Transfer Utility in 4.5 is, or ever has, looked for its files in the Projection Templates directory. I think it's looking at directories where the actual source FBMs and PBMs are. I've never seen anything but a huge long list that took forever to sort through, including weird body parts that you would never include as a clothing transfer. And it's just gotten longer and longer the more figures and shapes and whatnot that get added.

If you look in \data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Projection Templates, there aren't any templates for FBMs or PBMs. However, there ARE items in \data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\DAZ 3D\Base that appear in the "Morph" section of the transfer window. I think, when you use "Morph" instead of Current or Clone, that's where it's looking. And that's where EVERYTHING gets put. From the looks of things, when Transfer Utility is told to look for Clone, it's probably doing a simple If/Then/Else text match -- if the name of the file starts with "Clone", then display it as an option, else hide the file. For "Morph", the default is: Show Everything in that directory and subdirectories.

Sort of a weird comparison, but if you have Sickleyield's SRMS, one of the striking things when you use the forms for clothing or shoes -- rather then the normal transfer templates in Genesis -- is that the list of morphs is extremely restricted. Shoes access the morphs for V4 and M4 and nothing else. That suggests to me that Transfer Utility can be told to look somewhere else, but that its default is to look in the Morphs\DAZ3D directory for those files.

Yup, I see now. Well I'm writing DAZ and complaining about this. That's just nuts.

Choose Clone, not Morph, to get the shorter list.
