Handling multiple characters

Is there a way to get daz to handle multiple characters in a line.

For instance the picture below in the link, I am wanting to add more fighting characters in a line, but when I import a line of object characters and try to move them all, they merge into one position.

Can I keep them in a line and still move them?

I would also like to ask, how many characters can Daz handle?
I run a 4Gb HD Asus 6990, AMD Phenom II X6 T Processor with 16Gb Corsair Ram on a Asus Formula V board.

My rig is starting to struggle with this picture, which is why I am wanting to know about grouping.

(sorry for placing link only, I think the picture is too big to post)

If you want to reposition a group of people, create a null and parent all persons to the null. Then move the null. Unparent the persons when done.

If all the Figures are the Same and in the same pose I would use an Instace/s for extra copies. Much less overhead on your PC.

Thanks for the ideas, I will try them out tomorrow

I am wanting to do a battlefield scene next, so I will be using a lot of people in different poses.

Is there a limit as to how many a null can control?

I am thinking the best thing for me to do is save a group in a null, then save them as a scene and merge them with the finished scene one at a time. Which is why I am wanting to move a group as a whole.

    Cheers

Here is an example of Instances.... 3 figures 3 poses and then each Instanced 3 times each. Just a quick example.
