Hello, friends. I have been away from this community for a very long time, but I'm getting the urge to dip my toe back into the world of Daz and I have some questions. Finding the answers on my own would likely take hours that I do not have, so I have decided to ask you all.
With Studio 4:
1. Has poke-through been eliminated / collision detection been introduced?
2. Is there a way to set / simulate the effects of gravity on scene content?
3. Are dynamic clothes / cloths any easier to use than they were when they were first introduced?
I probably have more questions, but that will do for the moment.
Comments
1. It isn't absolutely perfect, but the new Smoothing Modifier includes the option to set a collision object (usually the figure wearing the clothes, but can be an under-layer of clothing) and that works pretty well.
2. Only in the Dynamic Clothing Control plugin, as in DS3.
3. No change.
..there is also a very inexpensive tool in the store to deal with nagging pokethrough that just won't go away.
What product is that?
Thank you. I need to install the version of Studio I got some time back -- 4.0.3.47 (I don't even remember if it's a Pro version) -- and play around with it for a while. I've only ever used version 3.x before, so I have to learn all over again.
Another question: I have a DS4_GoZ .exe file, but I don't even remember what that is. Can anyone tell me?
I believe that one's the bridge to ZBrush.
Saw that afterwards and ordered it. HOWEVER, I can't find it to download it.
Found it.
Because I MIGHT need genitals for Genesis, I just looked through the store and read through several threads and discovered what I would have to go through to get them. It's not worth the trouble. I guess this is good-bye again.
