    Some people like the clothes in the bundle, and see the benefit of getting it all at once. :)

    On a base price, David isn't actually any more expensive than any of the other morphs. His bundle is bigger than the last few bundles we've had, and that's what makes him feel more expensive.

    Especially since I spent too much in MarchMadness ... LOL

    The base is inexpensive enough. Unfortunately there just is not enough in either one of the bundles to make me want to get them. The base is like what I thought it would be, Just the one body morph and a few heads which is kind of sad. I really would have liked more options. V5 got a tone of breast morphs that look almost exactly alike. And I have found my self having to use some of them to get the chest to look like a mans chest.

    So, would you early adopters say he's a good counterpart to Stephanie 5? I was looking over the items in the pro bundle and noticed no mention of genitalia. Are the texture sets 'complete'? Does David get his own UVs? Of course, one could simply dial up David morphs with an M5 texture set. One big reason to buy a pro bundle is getting elite textures, and Stephanie came with some really nice ones. If David's textures have no 'toast,' then I would probably just get the basic package for the morphs.

    The Base texture is mentioning genitals, Gunner is mentioning genitals ... with the other textures they are not mentioned ...

    Ah, well, then that explains it. I looked at the pro bundle and its featured characters. I assumed, wrongly, that David would be like Michael in that respect. Base M5 doesn't come fully equipped. ;)

    Okay, so David wasn't a Tax Day release. My next bet is either the 29th or 30th.

    Looks like a release on Paul Revere Day instead!

    This is a mix of exWayne and D5 mostly, with a bit from ethnic morphs.
    (I think the hat is of wrong period and this is why he is so not very happy ^_^")

    Autofitted (very nicely) M4 Alchemist (who needs more love, i.e. textures) and free RenFair cap for M4 turned to Genesis hat via Transfer Utility/Long hair way with Calida's velvet shaders.

    D5 of course has his use, but having already covered this ground with Santo and his shorter shape and morphs, for me it's not going to replace M5 in my products.

    My biggest quibble is the height; D5 comes in at the height of Genesis where he needs to be smaller to correspond with S5. He's towering over her now, unless you're using S5's Model morph. Santo comes in at D3's height and compliment's S5's... and our newer products have shorter morphs that are that height as well.

    Here's a render of D5 next to one of Santo M5's short morphs... both wearing santo's skin.

    Thanks for that comparison. So, with the Santo and Ashley morphs that I have, I'm pretty well covered already with 'real world' male shapes. Not that I won't get D5. He's on my wishlist for sure.

    Kind of expected that as I saw the vendors of the pro package - something similar occurred within a different Genesis character package. Good enough reason for me to not buy the pro package and this will probably be the first Gen 5 character where I only buy the basic plus perhaps a character and some clothing.

    well i guess the lack of admin response means that David 5 does not include gen geometry, just the texture.

    I think the the David 5 product page should include a note that M5 Pro is required, otherwise it seems a bit misleading.

    Yes - Pure Hair: Rock n Roll has your basic character fits and and handful of 'fixes' plus it has 6 different shaping/style adjustments:
    Front Forward
    Front Up
    Hair Full
    Top Full
    Twist Front
    WidowPeak

    And each can be adjusted to add or subtract that style. I was really happy to see these because the hair right out of the box was too full and tall for my taste but with a few 'fullness' reductions it was perfect.

    I agree.

    so if i understand this,
    there is this new character with a new uv that includes a texture for geo grafted mesh that is not included with the character, but only available in the m5 pro bundle, and no mention of that on the product page.

    then forum posts saying david5 has toast and me asking if mesh is included without a peep from the admins for hours.

    that's just plain sad.

    So far so good...
    I'm especially excited that David has normal maps - That's a real boon when using an unbiased render like Lux (or I use Mental Ray). So here are a few of my first attempts. I still need to tweak a few things - I still get some strange anomolies when exporting to 3ds Max.

    The first is David "out of the box"
    The next is a morph I put together quickly by dialing. Then last of is Neo who looks real good.
