How To Make Fits ?????

I have seen lots of fits for clothes and mainly hair and wondered how that is done. I know I can take things into Hexagon and there is resizing with the dials in Daz and I know about the DForm tool. I can make anything fit a model it's not created for, but don't know how to make them so others can use them. A google search hasn't brought up any tutorials about this process. On top of being able to save these fits, I need to be able to do so for both Daz and Poser, preferably without the need for DSON as many seem to not like needing other plugins to use something created for Daz and being able to use in Poser. I do have Poser Format Exporter but don't know if that can be used in this case.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you wanting to make the items work with different shapes for the same base figure, or completely different figures? Which figure? Are they your own creations, or purchased items/freebies - sharing fits for stuff you didn't make can be tricky (simplest with morphs for Genesis items, hardest for full figures like clothing for older figures).

Mostly it's to make hair fits. I have some nice hairs made for either V4 or Genesis, however, I can't use them on other models without a lot of tweaking and I don't want to have to tweak each and every time I use the hair. Plus, if someone has not created a hair fit for the hair and model in question other 3D users may be interested in having one. Doing fits for clothes is for my own personal use.
Most of what I find online are hair fits offered for free which is what I would do as well. The clothing fits are usually for sale, such as the universal fits for some of Daz clothes, so I don't think I could legally offer those and decided it would be for personal use.

I know I could tweak the clothes to fit other models, I was just wondering if there was a special way to go about it and save, that is easier then what I have been doing and couldn't find tutorials for such anywhere. I have been reading about DFormer which actually can change the shape (but not the mesh) to make things fit and that made me wonder if this is how it's actually done.

I use a program called Morphing Clothes to transfer morphs from Figures into Props, Clothing, Hair, and often other figures.

It's available at renderosity and its made by Dimension3D It is really easy to use and works great in studio.

Thank you John...I have it saved to favorites for when my tax return comes in. I would still like to know about making fits though, the proper way. From what I can tell about that program I need a models morphs to be able to use it and I don't have those right now. I am left using available morph freebies for most models, so if I decide to use DForm to create a morph I need to be able to make things fit it.

You don't need it for daz4. All you do is transfer active morphs.

The transfer active morphs tool works well but I still get poke throughs on some of the clothing and it won't transfer morphs over to smart props. But I have used both MM and the Transfer active morphs tool and have gotten some great results.
