DAZ 4.5 seems to not like me very much

I've been using (rather, trying to use) DAZ Studio Pro 4.5 for a couple months, and it likes to crash randomly on me. Every time I begin building a scene, or even just change the Genesis character from gray to anything else, it crashes. I've tried first with Windows 8, both 64 and 32 bit versions. I thought it was a problem with Windows 8, even though I read people were successfully using Windows 8 along with the program, but I formatted and then went back to Windows 7. At first it seemed perfect, when all I had was the base install and the Genesis starting kit. But the more I did, the more it would crash. I was posing a female figure, I put on underwear and a T-shirt, then I was shaping the T-shirt and it crashed.

Now, tonight I installed Victoria 5, and I can't seem to do anything... once I add the Victoria character to the Genesis model, if I do anything else after that it crashes... so I tried doing it slowly. I was able to put hair on to Victoria, then when I went to materials to change the color, it crashed.

I was really excited about using this program, and I started putting all kinds of things into my wish list which I plan to buy soon, but if I can't use this program, then I'm not going to be able to buy anything because it won't really matter :-(. I would absolutely love to use this program, so I am begging somebody to please give me some ideas of what to test and what to try. Below, you'll find my latest error files, along with my dxdiag showing my system information. I have a decent computer running SLI 560s, and an i7 with 8 GB RAM.

Thank you very much for your time,

Other than a whole ton of warnings about files it can't find, I'm not seeing anything which should cause a crash. The error report indicates an Access Violation, which could mean a lot of things. It's possible it's trying to write temporary files and doesn't have the permission to do so, though I would think Daz would exit more gracefully in that instance. You have a very similar spec to my own machine except for memory and the fact I don't run SLI, so there's nothing there which should cause the crashes either.

First of all eliminate the obvious contenders. Make sure your graphics card drivers are fully up to date, and that all of the files are present and correct. I'm guessing by looking at your log files that you don't own the evolution morphs, but if you do then you'll definitely want to reinstall them as Daz is having a hard time finding them all.

Beside that, more information might be useful. What are you usually doing when it crashes? Does it happen randomly, or are there specific actions you can take to reproduce the crash? The more information you can provide the easier it will be to nail down a solution.

    Thank you for the reply.

The crashes seem to be pretty random. Although I have noticed it seems to be when applying any sort of material. For instance, yesterday I added a prefab scene that I downloaded from here, and I was messing around with all kinds of different camera angles and it was fine (just for reference it was the "Dystopia City Blocks 001-010 Poser" download). Then I tried to add Genesis into the picture, and while it was gray I was posing it and moving it without any problems. Then I added the female basic character over it and added some hair. As soon as I tried changing the hair material it crashed. I was using the view that shows the folders, and it was as soon as I clicked "material", it didn't even have time to show me the thumbnails before it crashed. I was just using the regular stuff on the character that came with the program, nothing extra.
