How do I download content to my daz studio? Is it similar to the way stuff is added to poser?

Yes, you unzip or install to the content library - My Library be default, but if you have Poser it's probably a good idea to select the Poser content folder (the folder that holds the Runtime folder) by right clicking on Poser Formats in the Content Library pane, selecting Add Runtime Directory, and selecting the folder. If you have Poser 9 or Poser Pro 2012 and want to use the DSON Importer you should also add that folder to the DAZ Studio Formats list (again, right-click on the heading) and isntall the DS stuff there too
