Managing multiple runtimes

Okay, so I've been using DIM and so far really like it but on the Mac it used a different default location for its runtime (/Users/Shared/My DAZ 3D Library/ instead of /Users//Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library).

Not really complaining about that too much, it let me test out DIM without mucking up my existing runtime. But, I now have a ton of duplications that I'm trying to sort out. I'm running through the uninstallers to clean out the stuff in my old library but I also have a lot of stuff from other sites in that runtime that I don't want to be rid of.

So, my question is how easily can I work with both runtimes once I clean up the one in my home dir? My big concern is with Genesis content, will there be any issue with having Genesis morphs in both runtimes or will I have to move those into the 1 common runtime?

My goal is to try to get to using the /Users/Shared runtime for anything I get through DIM, my old default runtime for 3rd party content or any material that's not in DIM yet but want to make sure they'll play together nicely.

That should work fine -- I haven't tried it myself, but I'm told that unlike the Gen 4 figures, Genesis morphs don't have to be in the same runtime.

Thanks, that's what I thought but just wanted to confirm. In some ways it's more complicated but I'm kind of liking the idea of having 1 runtime that's fully "managed" by DIM and I don't touch, and a separate runtime for 3rd party stuff that I'm manually installing.

I still have a lot of cleanup before I move to that setup though but once I get that done I'm hoping it all "just works".
