Making your own Cyclorama textures
Hello,
firstly, I need to say I've been thinking about the possibilities of making your own textures for use with DAZ Cyclorama (http://www.daz3d.com/multiplane-cyclorama). I know textures DAZ sells are quite old and - honestly - a little bit outdated. I want to have a more realistic bakground for a jungle scene and the one DAZ offers is not life-like enough. I'd like to get the action in my own hands and photomanipulate the background.
Cyclorama comes with an additional installer for templates, but I never textured anything before and I'm totally green in the matter. I assume the most important thing is to get a proper resolution, which will be then placed as a JPG or PNG in Textures folder and applied to the default background just like we choose texture sets from the shop. I think I could simply create an image of a size matching the size of other Cyclorama textures, for instance, out of my photographs.
Does somebody advise me on this please? I didn't find any tutorials covering the topic. Thank you in advance!

If you look at a cyclorama texture in your paint program you will see how to use a texture on it, as it has to be part on the ground as well as on the back drop
Hobobo has a lot of cyclo textures here. http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploads.php?pf_user_name=hobobo&division_id=11 all done from photos
Have you also looked at Hobobo's freebies on sharecg? I don't know if he has a jungle but he does have a ton of cyclorama sets.
Thank you both for your fast replies! I followed your advice and found Cyclorama textures. They measure 2048x2560 pixels and it looks like every texture is made like this: the upper half goes for the background and the lower half - for the ground. Then, I suppose that I have to try mimicking that. I'll try putting the picture into DAZ Cyclorama folder. I also started to check that ShareCG gallery, it looks promising. Thanks!
