incomapibility between M4, V4 and M5, V5

I can't seem to use most of M4 and V4 on M5 and V5 models, and I can't use any of these items on a Genesis male of female. Am I doing something wrong or are these models proprietary?

    What items are you trying to use?

    M4 and V4 clothing should fit Genesis characters using the Autofit plugin, is that what you mean?

    I think, from what I can see of the OP's statement, he might be trying to apply M4/V4 Characters on Genesis... and that simply does not work... You have to run a transfer through GenerationX...

    jorr, you need to be very specific on what you're doing before questions can be answered. :)

    Yes, if you can give examples of specific V4 or M4 products you are trying to use, we will better be able to assist. Most products for V4 and M4 can be used on Genesis, though not always with perfect results, and sometimes you need to buy extra things (Generation X, for example) in order to make them work.

    Here's the basic compatibility information:
    Skin textures for V4 and M4 can be used on Genesis
    Clothing for V4 and M4 can be AutoFit to Genesis (results vary but are usually good, except for shoes and some long dresses and similar items)
    Hair, poses, and props for V4 and M4 can be used on Genesis, but may require some manual tweaking to work properly
    Morphs and expressions for V4 and M4 won’t work on Genesis, unless you own Genesis Generation X (GenX).
