Genesis vs Victoria 5

I was just looking at an item.
It is for Genesis and Vistoria 5.
Is this redundant, or am I missing something? Aren't these interchangeable anyway?

Is Vistoria Hot?
But seriously, if something works on Genesis you are good with just Genesis. If something REQUIRES V5, then you also need V5 as well.
If it is clothing, then the Victoria 5 reference isn't really needed(because Genesis Clothing is Genesis Clothing).
If it is a character shape and skin then the V5 piece may be important because some characters do require the V5 shapes/ UV maps to work.
V5 is built on the Genesis Basic Female form, but she has a lot of custom rigging and is shaped quite differently. Something made only for V5 may not work correctly with something made for plain old Genesis because it was designed to work with morphs that aren't there in the GBF. That is to say, it may work, but it probably won't look like the pictures on the product illustration.
She's a nice bit of scenery. ;-)
Thanks much, everyone.
What confuses me, is like it was said Genesis clothes are Genesis clothes, but can you not conform them to other Genesis figures in Poser? I tried to put Genesis clothes (ie bikini) on the young teen 5 but it did not fit. Unless I'm missing something.
You need to use "Transfer Active Morphs" from the DSON menu.
Thank you, I will try that. I knew I had to be doing something wrong!
Also keep in mind, they use different UV maps. So in the case of a character, the V5 may be "required" because the texture was built on the V5 shaped UV map. : )
Do I need to do this from the beginning or can I just re add the clothing item? Because I tried adding the bikini again and it still is not fitting the dial changes I made (just general Genesis dials)
EDIT: Ok I guess you have to revert Genesis conform the clothes then rechange the dials then do the transfer morphs? Is there a way to just get it to transfer the morphs without resetting all the dials? I would think it should have worked, but I couldn't get the bikini to fit until I changed the dials back first.
