WOW... finally our "Itemized downloads" area got a huge update. Search and it's found instantly. Like this allot. Thanks DAZ

Now for one niggle I have. Please put a "New Topic" link at the TOP of each forum. I hate that I have to scroll to the bottom each time. Seems it should be easy enough to code in.

Thanks!

I agree. There are a few other button at the bottom of pages that should also be at the top.

This may be better in some respects, but it is definitely worse in others.
This new download method provides less information and is moire cumbersome than the puny last one. I am grateful for the "search" ability, but it hardly is worth the cost of losing other features like seeing the date the product was bought and the purchase order number (in case we need to contact CS).

It also adds several unnecessary steps to the manual download process which is a waste of time. The DAZ installer is a HORRIBLE product for those of us who archive without installing. Taozen's downloader (http://taosoft.dk/software/3dcondo/) is vastly superior and provides much better filing and sorting options for archive downloading - also it only takes a few seconds of your personal time to download entire orders or more. Now this new system has borked the Taozen product.

its not bad. The order number is listed on the top right BTW.

It still is unfinished to me, but it's moving along in the right direction because I do like the search.

I won't ever use the DIM so i hope they polish up the product library even more because it has potential.

It is a step in the right direction. Didn't realize I had some of those things. I like the links back to the original product page. It helps my old brain remember what it does, etc. LOL

True, but why do I have to click on each and every product name to see what order they were on instead of seeing them as a group in a table along with the date? Why could they not just take the old system and add the "sort" and "search by" functions - that would be much preferred by me.

DAZ just seems incapable of releasing a product that pleases everybody.

I don't disagree, I just was letting you know incase you hadn't seen it at all.

Very true. I, myself, am happy with the new Product Library setup, especially since you can scroll down a selected product's product page area to see what, if any, bundle it is (or was) a part of.

That information, which has long been lacking, is just below the download links. I know there have been many posts on the old forum and this one in the past year from folks who know they have a product, but can't find it listed in their order history because it was part of a bundle. Now that information is available. Way to go DAZ!!! :coolsmirk:

I agree that there are some really good features, but for those of us who have thousands of products (my current count is 7,155) according to the DIM - it is really a pain to click each one at a time to get the information that used to be available at a glance. Clicking takes time and contributes to carpel-tunnel syndrome. Any way to minimise it is appreciated - increasing the number of clicks required to accomplish a given task is just poor programming design.
