why won't it let me render more than 1 figure on Daz 4.5?

So when I do a close up of a face on Daz 4.5 I can render it and do it with the pixels pretty high like 5000 even and it takes a while but eventually renders. Trouble is when I add 1 or more figures even if its a close up of their faces it just won't render at all even if my pixels is set at something low like 500. Why is this please is there a solution to this? thx.

It just goes off. Its like it can't handle it.

you may want to provide more information, you aren't saying enough for anyone to help you figure out the issue.

    Computer specs?
    Plug ins?
    Content used?
What does "goes off" mean? Daz crashes? Computer reboots?

I figured out why it does it. Its because of a wet skin V4 map I was using. If I try it on anything else it seems to work fine. So is the V4 wet texture extra taxing on memory or?

Still need more information to figure out what's happening. Things such as render settings, and system specs amongst others. The textures alone won't cause the slowdown, or shouldn't, unless they're so big they're eating up all of your system RAM. If that's the case, then you should really consider upgrading your memory. If that's not the case, then there's possibly something amiss in your settings which is causing trouble.

Of course, all of this is pure speculation since you haven't actually told us what happens. If it's a crash, it's likely not the textures. If it's just a very slow render, then it could be down to settings or memory. The more we know, the more we can assist.

My memory is 15GB right now (not the usual 500) so I am trying to clean space then I should be able to do it. The crash just goes to desktop and daz closes. Its the memory I am sure of it as I checked.

    Thx for help though.

What are your system specifications (processor type; amount of RAM installed etc.). For Windows; click on Start>Control Panel>System & post a screenshot of what shows up.

500Gb...? Sounds like someone is quoting hard drive space, not actual memory. One thing to consider is that Windows does require a significant amount of extra space for its swap files so it's plausible that it could be an issue. However, you've still neglected to tell us how much actual RAM is in your machine. An example of the screen you need to look at is below.

Go to control panel and click on 'System'. It will show you the amount of RAM installed on your PC. If you right-click the taskbar at the bottom of the screen you can also open the Task Manager which will show you how much RAM you have free.

K ty for that. My total Installed RAM is 4.0GB the RAM avaliable is 1091.

You are running out of RAM in my eyes. DS uses Ram only to Render and the WET texture is very RAM heavy due to the light calculations needed to render it.

...yup as Jaderail says it's a memory issue. I used to work in 32 bit and if I was lucky, had 1.4 - 1.5 GB to render with. I couldn't get more than one Genesis character with a simple backdrop and simple light set using DSMs to render without it crashing.

I don't think it is physical RAM, the OPs system is similar to mine and I don't have problems with multiple figure even with complex materials. The 15 GB mentioned earlier likely is the amount of space left on the harddrive, that is probably the problem.
