Genesis rotation limits in Poser

Hello All,

I need some help. Can anyone tell me how I can turn off all the rotational limits for a Genesis character in Poser pro all at once. I'm going into every joint and turning off the limits for the bend, twist, and side axis one at a time.

There has to be an easier way to do this. Limits are automatically turned on to the Genesis characters in Poser, which means that some poses and animation will not apply correctly....no trouble in Daz though.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

I've been intending to ask the very same question.

Great I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who has this issue.

I'm sure someone smart will have the answer. At the moment turning off the "use limits" in the figure menu makes the character completely disappear. And there's no function I can find in the General preferences which allows you to import character with limits off.

    Load the figure.

Select the body part you want to force limits.

Left click on the arrow to the right of parameters dial you want to force the limits.

You will get a window with the limits listed. Usually -1 to 1.

At the bottom you will see a box marked force limits. Check it. and hit ok. This will force the limits of the parameter you want forced.

Forcing limits can be done but the results may not be as expected.

Doesn't that mean I would have to open around 300 parameters individually to turn off limits for every single joint on the character? Is there a way that you know of to turn off limits for everything just with one click?

    Thanks for your help

    Much appreciated

Not that I'm aware of. It might be possible for someone to write a python script to force the limits but I don't know for certain if this is possible.

You might want to ask over in the Rendo Poser forum. If it can be done, Ockham or LesBently could probably write one for you.

That's a good idea, I should have done that as well.

It would be useful if the characters didn't have limits on by default. No need really.

    Cheers
