Hi,

For a project I would like to make a animated transition from wire-frame image to a full render.
I think this would make a nice effect, but I can't get DS to render a wire-frame image.

Is it possible to do this, or do I need something else, like make a screenshot while in the editor (wire-frame preview)?

I have tried several options, but I can't get it ..

Any idea's how to get this ?

Thank you :)

Amy

Have a look at this render I made four weeks ago. If that is about what you're looking for, then download the mcjTracer plug-in. (only a .dll) from mcasuals site: https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts2/
It is in the plug-in section.

Yes, it looks just the thing I was looking for...

Wonderful find, thank you for this great tip!!!

I already love it!, testing it right now..

Need to tweak it to get it right, but I think this might do the trick!

    Thank you again!

    Yes, it looks allright.
In my scene I applied a gold shader to the figure (probably the one from Georgehaze - shareCG) and used a contrast colored background to let it stand out more. I haven't played with all the possibilities of the plug-in yet.

Now if only there was a way to render wireframe while culling the backfaces...
