How To Create A Full Body Mat /Texture From Scratch?
Hello.
This probably looks stupid or something, but whenever i try to create a character for a figure i just pin down for almost 3 weeks now and i thought its time to get some help.
so,can you tell me or point me to a tutorial on how to create everything with some boring details, like how to put the mouth and make it compatible with the face and then adding some beauty spots.....blablabla.
People don't use realistic textures a lot do they?just matching some skin with eyes and get a face.
i just keep trying and trying sometimes i get angry and almost crashing my pc.i hope someone can tell because this looks hard on everyone.
if it was just the head like they use in games and other models which don't show the skin, than i can do it,but the full body?

Alright. There was no need to be so rude about it. A lot of people come to the forums and yes many are new to the concept of how to make their own textures. We all start at the beginning eh.
Anyhow, as somebody who makes .pdf tutorials, glad I didn't bother putting it back up for you.
Thanks for your reply.,i am not a total noob if you think that,i do know how to use photoshop, resources, templates and other blabla stuff.
why i don't know is how to put them together, that why i asked for a tut or something just to see how to combine all these stuff.
here is an example of how stupid i am.
edited answer.
By scratch do you mean from the absolute beginning or from the a merchant resource base?
The absolute beginning requires the UV template for the figure or morph set (V5, M5, A5, ect), human resource photographs from a site like 3D.sk and an image editor that supports layers.
The UV template provides the guide and you use the human resource photos to create the texture.
If you are using an MR, you will need the MR and human resource photos. You cannot create a texture simply by using MR's. No matter how many MR's you combine. You must alter an MR base by a certain percentage using human resource photos to make it unique to your product. How much you must alter it should be listed by the MR's vendor in the read me. A good rule of thumb to follow is at least 50% alteration. After you alter the MR's, you apply the textures to your figure and save the new texture.
If you are using an MR for strictly personal use, you do not have to alter them and can use them out of box as is. The majority of MR's do not allow use in making free textures. There are or were 1 or 2 MR's that permitted their use in making frree textures. Again, you will have to read the read me for this.
Seam guides are also useful - with the UV template - when you want a feature (mole, tattoo, etc) to cross the texture seam. SnowSultan has many available for free here:
