Dynamic Clothing pane in new Studio beta release

So, I wanted to try out the Dynamic Cloth pane included in the new Studio beta. I don't own any of Opti-tex dynamic clothing, or any others that might be out there. I did, however, just find their website and download a few freebies to try out.

My question is this... is there any way to convert clothing in my library to dynamic cloth, so that I may use them in the plugin? And, how about creating new dynamic cloth? I am working on clothing items for sale and would like to include a dynamic version with the product but I don't know how to make the clothing recognizable in the plugin.

I'm going to try out the freebies I downloaded (haven't tried them yet). I have high hopes for this feature, having used dynamic cloth in Poser in the past.

You can't make your own Dynamic clothing for DAZ Studio, it requires access to the Optitex software, which costs around $10,000 I believe.

Some PAs here were given access to it I think, but you would need to ask them. It is not the same thing at all as Poser Dynamic clothing, and you cannot convert clothing to use it.

Hmm, okay. A niche has been created. Great news for Optitex, bummer for the rest of us. Thanks for the info. That means I will never fork out a dime for a dynamic clothing product. I don't cater to monopolies.

You might do better to look at some of the DS Dynamic clothing in the Store here, find the vendor/creator and send them a PM to see how it is done. I am not a PA and know very little about how this clothing is made, or what help is given by Optitex. I do know that it can't be made without their software though.
