Upgrading to Carrara 9

I have a question regarding the upgrade item in the shop. I have Carrara 8 right now. When Carrara 9 comes out, would I be able to upgrade to Carrara 9 pro, or would I have to buy Carrara 9 pro like someone who has never bought Carrara before (the product instead of the upgrade)?

Did you purchase Carrara 8 in the DAZ 3D store? If so, you should have no problem upgrading to C9 when it comes out, though I don't know that it's going to be any time in the near future. I upgraded C7 to C8 without a problem.
What I'm talking about is upgrading from Carrara 8 to Carrara 9 pro. I don't know if that's possible.
Carrara 9 does not excist. Until it does, no one will know.
C8.5 has to make it out of beta first.
Alright, well thank for the replies.
You should be able to at a higher price than upgrading pro to pro but we will have to wait and see what daz does when 9 comes out. It would be something like this if they do it. Pro full version $550 upgrade from 8 pro to 9 pro version $165 upgrade from 8 to 9 pro $360.
At some point, DAZ will probably put C8 Pro on a magazine CD. That's how I've ended up with C5Pro, C6Pro and C7Pro. You can upgrade to a newer version of Pro even if you get it from the magazine CD.
Pray tell, which magazine would you recommend, for the greatest chance of receiving such a CD?
I picked up previous Pro Versions from both 3D World, ImagineFX and 3D Artist.
As much as I'd like that... seeing the way DAZ is heading and the way the CGI mags have been cutting back on the goodies (lately all it seems is Textures and Tutorial Videos), I really wouldn't expect it any time soon if at all.
I let most of my subscriptions lapse in the past year because of work so I haven't really paid too much attention to what is and isn't on the current mag CD's.
Since this will be the first x.5 version release for Cararra, I wasn't really sure how it would go. I only mentioned it because it used to be one possible way to upgrade to the new version without killing the credit card.
Sorry if that sounded wrong, I only meant that I haven't seen any stuff from DAZ in the mags for a while, the 3D mags seem to be cutting back on the good stuff too (one of them no longer carries a disc.. it's just DLs from their site which mostly tutorials) and DAZ has been cutting back so much, I don't see them offering C8 on a disc...
I hope I didn't seem rude... I was just voicing disappointment.
