Saving aniblock - am I missing an Add-on or smth?

I'm following the video tutorial

When around minute 2:26 he teaches how to save the aniblock, but mine doesn't have that option.

When I have the block selected, it doesn't show (image). Do I miss an add-on?

I think it is because you are useing AnimateLite and the tutorial is Animate2

This thread I think answers your problem

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/9044/saving-as-an-aniblock

This is the help file for AnimateLite:

    hope this helps...

  • That's AniMate Lite - do you have a license for the full version, and if you do have you entered your serial number in Help>About Installed plug-ins and then restarted DS?

Thank you, I checked the file and doesn't say anything about saving blocks... I guess it's because i'm in the lite version?

Thank you! Yes, I have Animate Lite... Where can I get the full one? I searched the store and I didn't find anything. I checked the serial numbers page and it's not there, so I guess I still don't have it.

Animate 2 is included in Daz3d Studio  - you just need the serial number to activate it  - this is what you get when u purchase

Oh i see, I will wait to purchase then, it's not really that necessary now as I have saved the scene and found out the animation is saved. Now I need to figure out how to render haha

I checked the seller's store and it seems the other versions are not available? the older ones? I was hoping they'd be cheaper

The older versions of AniMate were for older versions of DAZ Studio.

keep an eye out for sales - especially this month - black-friday/cyber-monday, etc.

Gofigure is a PA whose stuff doesn't pop up in sales that often.

Note that the animate2 license is also kind of buried in:

      https://www.daz3d.com/animate2-leisure-time-bundle-for-m4

which I've seen pretty good deals on when the base package:

      https://www.daz3d.com/animate2

    isn't on sale.

Also note that there are animate versions for Carrara out there, so be sure and get the DS version if that's your tool of choice.

I thought there was a 30-day fully functional 'trial' version of animate2 activated when you first installed DS. There may a way to re-install DS to play with it before you commit to the purchase.

Lastly, if you expect to animate much in DS, I would budget for, and wait for sales on the DAZ/goFigure 'Keymate' and 'Graphmate' tools as well.

    cheers,
