Why do I have weird reflections in the eyes and how do I fix it?

This is G8M in Iray.  The only change I made is manually loading Iris and Scalara textures in Base and Translucency Color.

It didn't matter if I had a sky loaded or Boss Pro Light Set.

How do I fix this?

    Is it painted on the iris texture?

    I have encountered that issue with some Twizted Metal G8F eyes: The reflections are part of the surface.

    No the reflection is not painted on the texture.

    I wasn't sure what happened, because it persisted when I loaded (normally) a new set of eyes.  However, when I reloaded the full texture, the eye reflection returned to normal.  When I manually added the new eye texture, the reflection was still normal.

    PROBLEM SOLVED.
