had an idea for a couple pose, so jumped right on it, pretty close to my idea, unfortunately I don't really have clothes for them, that I would use for that moment, so only rendered the the portion thast would allow me to post it here

my models, that I had dialed in with morph dials (G3F L Petite & G3M E)
okay here is that pose, she had to use G2F clothes, so simple fix there
. There was something else I wanted to use for the G3M, but I had not yet downloaded it or transferred from old comp
I couldn't get that same lighting, would need to work on that more, lighting in Iray seems harder for me to adjust, then it was in 3Delight
testing some Iray shaders
building some new poses, still needs some fine tuning, before saving as preset pose, think I have the expression part done
break to do a G3M . . actually it's a M7, but then I added . . then played with dials, and ended up with G3M F
trying some shaders to get a effect for the Blades, needs some work
toyed with the blades, used different one's this time, got closer to what I was working towards

G2F . .Iray, Scene only . . 3 spots (1 for back light),1 distance, 1 Point, Still not right, but getting sleepy.
I was getting closer to what I was wanting . . I recall or think I recall, there was a way to not show shadows from every light in Iray, too tired to search right now'
I don't have any morph dials for G2F, but I do have a couple freebie character dials , so she's a mix of them

It was the first time I rendered Iray set to 'Scene Only', and WOW, it renders super fast
but it needs a lot more light intensity , then what one would use in 3Delight. It givers me some reason to play in DAZ Studio more now, discovered something new to play with,
still playing with lighting for Scene only Iray, though have to admit I almost wasn't going to post this, after I sign in, click to Art Studio, I get the Friggen Signing out, happens every damn day.
It don't happen if I'm on someone else computer, I stay logged in for ever

here is my latest attempt working with lights, still needs lots of work, and discovering
One is without adding lights, just using headlight
the other was with added lights
a new Morphed G1F, I don't remeber which Mat I used but I think it was Riley
first is the lights I did
this one is just the Headlamp, No lights added
as you can tell I still need to work on it, I do best learning by discovery, but sometimes need mini directions
I was supposed to be playing with them thar lights for Iray Scene Only renders, but instead I dialed in another G1F (named G1F H)
just a plan jane Iray render, Some carbon fiber shader, and a Latex, and a Satin shader

okay, after that last post, decide I best get back to them lights
I used the same lights, I used up above, just had to move them
3 spots (one for backlite), 3 Distance
one spot was moved to just target the Dragon, the other spot just on G3F
2 renders, one with Dome & Scene, and another with just Scene
Dome & scene took 20 minutes, the Just scene one 2 minutes, I like how the Dome & Scene one came out

I should also mention the metal shaders I used were also Free Xcetra3D - Basic Iray Metals [Free] ,
just a new G3F I dialed, using V7 Iray Mats
made this one to practice settings for making for a more realistic skin, I like the mats used now, but seeing at a close up, could use some adjustments.

was done outside, came inside, and had nothing to do, so I did this
I should had played with the shirt some more, but it's now getting late
fixed the shirt, like it was meant to been. might try something else with it, later
I was trying to find where I found that freebie shirt from, there is a lot that can be done with it, you just have to add your own mat's or Shaders to it (I used both)
found freebie, Rain, thought I add that too and see what it looks like , been forgetting to try it out. guess it was not really rain for Iray, looks like it's raining Oil
I think I got the rain from DNA freebies, since the folder that are in is titled DNA_Weather
Apparently this site is having issue with uploading so had to use another to host the image

Gave up waiting after 18 minutes wating for it to load, maybe this time it'll happen, if not, I'll try again later

26 minutes of uploading and it's no bigger then the 3dl one, which had not a issue uploading
heck just tried a few other's and nothing is uploading
Did you try logging out and back in? Sometimes that does the trick
that's funny . . this site logs me out twice a day sometimes, I don't need to log out, it does that already .. even after I'm logged in, frustrating as hell
any more I just log in when I have something to show, don't even come to the site any more unless I have somethng to show. if it wasn't for the email notifcation , wouldn't be here now.
each of those attempts was a new login, so logging out then back didn't fix it
in the past I had just used another site to host the image when that happens, but this time I just figured DAZ didn't care and it wasn't worth it this time to use another hosting site for the image
it did look better in the Dome & Scene, more realistic like then in 3DL, but I still thought the lighting in 3DL one was better, skin not so much, and it was 3dl skin mats
, which looked better in Iray
trying a different direction with lighting . .thought I see if using Point lights give me a better result
in the Viewport the klighting looks just right, but after rendering still too dark , light intensity is cranked up, and still too dark for me . . tho I was going for a dark room, but I wanted the subject well lit

2 point, 1 Spot (all lights same color 255 . 245 . 184) no light was used for back light so not backlit
