How to get an A3 clothing item onto G3 in 2017, by the numbers...
So I'm trawling through the numerous threads and they don't look good.
I fell in love with this outfit.....

Want to get it wearable by Genesis 3 peeps and such.
Best reply has been this item ---
https://www.daz3d.com/gen-3-iconic-shapes-for-genesis
It's $7.19 in the cart today.
I do have a few A3 generation items in the library.
Artemis, that ultra awesome outfit was a nightmare (both versions BTW)
And I always stop scrolling down any list of sale items, once I hit that 3 number.
So, are we still using weird workarounds and Fit-To then export, then import and group etc....
Or does this ONE product get the job done?
"and because the clone shapes are included, you will be able to "auto-fit" your favorite Generation 3 clothing. DAZ-tastic!"
That's what it says. Too good to be true, or is this a one-click solution (+ autofit)

The item you link to is for Genesis not G3, it means you have the shapes of the generation 3 figures (Aiko 3, Victoria 3, Freak 3, Michael 3 etc) and will be able to autofit any Generation 3 clothing to Genesis, then you could autofit it to G3 if you have the correct clones.
I have that iconic shapes product for G1. I used it to create a clone for G8F via this tutorial: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/193296/freebie-how-to-create-a-v4-clone-and-transfer-other-figures-for-g8f
The tutorial would probably work for doing a G3F clone as well.
Alternately (if you don't want to make a clone), you could purchase this item too: https://www.daz3d.com/wear-them-all-autofitting-clones-and-clothing-smoothers-for-genesis-3-female-s
With the Iconic Shapes product you can wear A3 clothing on Genesis 1 then save it as a wearable preset. You could then wear that preset on G3F if you have Wear Them All.
I have that and I think THAT was the product that gave me so much trouble with things exploding- soon as the figures took a new pose.
do you have smoothing on and if so did you try altering the Smoothing Type to Generic.
In addition to wear-them-all, sometimes I toss this in for good measure: Edit > Rigging > Transfer Rigging Figure Space.
SY does it in a few of her tutorials.
One day I'll learn the mysteries of the Edit and Assets menu. Until then, I tend to sprinkle it around like fairy dust and hope the clothing follows better. :)
do you have smoothing on
Probably
and if so did you try altering the Smoothing Type to Generic.
and all that just went over my head.
I'll rock with that, do another goole Daz helper search and explore. Thanks.
Select the figure - is there a Mesh Smoothing group in Parameters? If there is the Smoothing Type is there, and can be set to Generic (instead of Base Shape Matching)
