I'VE DOWNLOADED DAZ 4 AND HAVE IMPORTED MY POSER 8 CONTENT INTO IT; I CAN DO EVERY IN DAZ WITH MY POSER FIGURES THAT I CAN IN POSER--EXCEPT FOR APPLY FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. I CAN'T LOAD THE POSER EXPRESSIONS FOR MY FIGURES WHEN USING THEM IN DAZ. IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THIS? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

What format are these expressions in, if they are FC2 (Poser Face Files), then DAZ Studio cannot read them.

Please don't type in all Caps as it is considered to be shouting on forums, and some people take offence easily ;)

    EDIT:

I have just looked through some of my older Runtime folders, and indeed FC2 files do work inside DAZ Studio 4.5, the ones I tried were for Hiro4 (a morph of M4). I haven't seen any for a long time though, sorry about my mistake.

What character are you loading and what files do you find that cannot load?

Hi JimmyC thank you for answering. The character I've loaded from Poser is James and the files that won't load are the facial expressions (all the ones for that figure from Poser) nor can I change the facial expressions via Poser dials. I actually have that same problem with all of the figures except for P4 nude figures. I can shift the eyes of the figures, just can't apply any face expressions, hahahha!! As I said before, I can do everything with the figures from Poser that I can do in Poser while in Daz, except for the face expressions. Again, thanks for your reply.

I remember some problem with MC6 files... does that ring a bell here?

What you could do is load up all your expressions onto whatever figure, save that figure to Cr2 in Poser, then open that file up in DAZ Studio. That should work.

    mc6 are materials ...

What you are probably thinking about are pmd.
Poser is using pmd to store morphs.
DS4.5 SHOULD be able to work with pmds in figures - do you have the newest version of DS?

Another possibility is to use Kuroyume's free MorphExchange which puts the pmd into the cr2/pp2 :

I don't understand the problem. I just did a quick test on Victoria 4,2 & Starfox (Krystal), applied 'ExpressYourself' from Most-Digital-Creations on Vicky and applied Krystal emotions on Starfox and it worked. I checked 'browse to file location' and in both cases the files were .fc2.
You could try to import the .fc2, it is in the 'All Formats' list.

Forgot to mention: I'm using 4.5.1.6 Pro (64)

I have just tried this by loading James in DAZ Studio 4.5 using the Poser 7 Library.

I had to locate the PMD file myself since DS could not find it, but the expression files (FCZ by the way) work fairly well.

In the image below you will see James with the Joy expression, which dosn't look much like the icone, but it does work. The Parameters pane on the right shows the Morphs which are being used when the head of James is selected.

Which version of DS4 are you using, as James uses PMD morphs and geometry switching for his genitals, both of these cause problems in older builds.

PMD files, that's right. Never been able to load those.
