Do you clutter your desktop with toys?
I claim they are there for inspiration ......and they are...kinda...arent they?

I do have another dragon and CP3O is hidden between the external HD's

Anyone care to show off their collection?

WOW Rawn, my son and hubby will flip when they see this...lol. My sons room is cluttered with superhero men and sometimes they end up on my desktop as he don't want to put them up after playing with them....sigh.

My husband is a big fan of Marvel and DC stuff. Shoot my 6 year old daughter rather play with her brothers toys better than her own...lol. Her daddy did buy her some superhero girls and she does play with those :-). I love your desktop clutter!!

Here's my workstation (screen turned off for the pic to reduce glare). My collection is less superhero-oriented, but it's certainly there. :D I am lazy. Please forgive the dust.

Pic 2: Closeup on Toys 'R Us shark and Carlos the Crustacean (thrift store shrimp toy).

Pic 3: Closeup on noisemaking spider plushie, maneki neko figurine (gift from Fuseling), and D&D dice, which I collect even though I've never played a real tabletop game.

The fortune cookie fortune taped to the monitor says "You never hesitate to tackle the most difficult problems." It's been with me through three monitors now. Eventually I might get it tattooed.

My desk is cluttered with a bunch of old mail (piled on top the wacom I couldn't get the hang of), rechargeable batteries, and a big ole crystal. I just wish I could find my amethyst crystal ... ball. But, I seem to have hidden it when I unpacked it in 2006.

I got from left to right my Winnie the Pooh clock (so old the face and hands fell off), three marble cubes, a Rubiks Cube, various glass miniture figurines a marble egg and a FAKE Jade Buda. Only one toy it seems. One of the figurines is a Baby dragon in a daiper though.

I had toy cars - a Ford F150, an Audi convertible, and another truck. A toy chick that I had for 18 years and some Teenie Beanie Babies.

Companion cube plush toy, an Egyptian Horus-statue in green stone that gives off light (soaking up during day and giving off during night). But I keep things uncluttered around my computers (need elbow-space).

Glad to see I am not the only one who keeps "inspiration" around them LOL

I do keep the immediate working space pretty clean though. I totally get that need for elbow room.

1 stuffed toy penguin, small teddy, tiny stuffed toy raccoon, 3 pandas, 1 hippo, 2 elephants, polar bear mother and cub, silver cat, 2 lego R2D2s, one dinosaur I think - it was modeled by my son when he was about 4, large green dragon, large purple dragon, dragon in snow globe, dragon on top of small box and a stuffed toy zebra.

I used to have a Stuffed, cuddly nouse balanced on top of my monitor. It came from the time when I was doing something on my old Amstrad (using basic) and cursed and said "I must get a mouse for this computer" Himself being then totally tech non savvy kindly saw the mouse in a shop and bought it for me. He couldn't work out why I ended up rolling on the floor laughing so hard it hurt. He was eventually joined by others including a leprechaun and various bears and cats and things.

Nowadays I have a cuddly hedgehog sitting on top of the CD rack, watching my screen. The rest of the cuddly toys are upstairs, taking over the spare bedroom, to give me more room.

Sadly, my desk is a clutter of papers, books and other paraphernalia. I do have a Superman figurine, but he rarely takes residence on the desk for fear of burying the man of steel under twelve tonnes of reinforced letterhead.

Hmm, dSLR with accessories, M-Audio Keyboard, lots of removable HDs, Rechargable Batteries/tester, assorted tools, computers, more computers, Multiple NAS, scanner, tablet, kvm, etc ... nope, no room for paraphernalia.

Yep, I believe it is the ways we are alike that help us understand each other, but the ways we are different that we complement each other :)

Maps, books, more books, envelopes reused for notes and shopping lists, paperwork (what happened to that paperless office?), a model of a medieval French house, more books, more maps. My old teddy bear (very English), a small stuffed donkey somebody gave me years ago, a poseable mannikin figure, a pair of new socks (?!). There are things behind the big screen but they are best left alone. I think there's an old digital camera in there somewhere, paper with muddy cat prints (launch pad for shelf). Every so often I have a go at tidying but it doesn't last. Either that or the cat kicks it all over the floor.

I keep the computer tidy and organised, just for the contrast.

Toys??? :GASP!!!: No, I am far too OCD for toys on my desk. But I do have an unhealthy sticky note obsession.

My office also comes installed with its own kitty, which is programmed to occasionally prevent me from working, for my mental health's sake

On my desk are folders, papers a few dvds, some hidden object game disks, Mother Earth News Magazines, a small R2D2, a bobble head Darth Vader and a orange rubber ducky with tiger strips oh and some dust  dusting is my least favorite chore.

Oh yes. I forgot that feature. She's taken up sneaking behind the monitor and sprawling over the router. That is ... after she sharpens her claws on the router first.
