Dynamic clothing, collisions and adjustment control

Hi
I am working on a picture and I would like to know a couple of things....

I'm using the dynamic sheet to drape over my character, on some things the sheet does not collide with (even when selected in "Collide with") is there something I am missing in the settings. Will the sheet collide with things that are in a group or does everything have to be ungrouped/ unparented ?

Also I would like to know if the "Dynamic Clothing Control" plugin, will allow me to adjust the sheet manually or is it only for clothes, plus will this plugin work with Daz Studio 4.5 64bit

Thanks for any help :)

Adrian

(I have just read is does work with 64bit, so that's one answer) :~

You will need to get the Update to the Version of DS you are now using, it will end with the same version numbers (.1.56) or whichever. It should list in you Products Library when you select it.
Any Dynamic item can be controlled with it as long as its a DS (Optitex) item.
You must set collision to all items it should collide with.

All that said some items are too low Poly for the engine to calculate collisions against.

If the collision item doesn't have vertices where the dynamic item hits it then it won't register - if you use primitives you need to give them enough divisions to have a reasonable density.

The Control plugin allows you to set material properties, and also gives the wind force gadget and allows setting the force of gravity. I don't know what you mean by adjusting manually, but if you want to pull the item about then no it wouldn't help - you'd need to freeze the drape (turn it into a static prop), either using the command that the Control plugin adds or by exporting as OBJ.

The control plugin will work in both 32 and 64 bit versions of DS4.x.

    Hi
My daz studio is (pro 64bit 4.5.1.56).

I think I get what your saying Richard, I will go back and have a rethink later on. I might try and change a few things and see what it comes up with.

    Thanks for the replies

    P.S
That might be an idea for a new plugin someone could make, "drag an drop for dynamic clothing"
