Acronyms and Industry Terms For Newbies

For starters, being a newbie I've run across at least one acronym, MFD, that I can't find in the Daz knowledge base.

Does anyone know what it means?

Just a suggestion, why don't all the experts on here start a sticky topic containing a glossary of industry acronyms and terminology. It would be a great help to newbies who are pressed for time in trying to understand issues/problems surrounding the use of Daz Studio and related products. Thanks.
