New question about "The Kids 4" Face expresstions

Hey,

I am new to daz and i bought few models.

Most of them work well but this is exception.

I talk about the kids 4 models, I tried to found some solutions why it's not loaded well and after while i now understand that it's very old (Poser) models so i know to load it from the content library instead of smart content (Hope you change it sometime).

The problem come when i load the script as on images "The kids 4" and then try to add some facial exprestions but not when i double click and not when i grab i

The 'script' you refer to appears to be the morph injection poses

Once those morphs have been 'injected', they can be 'dialed in' using the parameters tab

(BTW, looks like you double posted??)

  • Thank you for you fast response,

    Yeah i double posted.

    1. Can you please tell me how to load it the right way?

    2. What you daz studio version? My 4.1

    3. And how you load this the best way so i can customize the bodies and do manipulation before.

    4. Also i really don't know what is inject so i am really new to the software and if you have some good tutorials (video best) i would twice appriceate it.

The current version of DS is 4.10 (the one that has dForce). 4.1 was about four or so yeras ago - if you are intending to update from that, be careful, as the content management system has changed, and some plugins might no longer be compatible.

laugh I must admit I've never ever used the powerloader (it's some 7 years ago I installed Kids4, and installed it via Poser instead of DAZ|Studio) cheeky

A little more info on the powerloader here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2346096/  ; and here:  http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/powerloader/start

I take it you do use DS 4.10; I've seen more people thinking of it in decimal numbering, so omitting the last '0', but it is read as DS version 4 release 10 (and then some more)

Sleeping time over here, so if there are more questions, It might be a time before my reaction (but maybe Richard Haseltine will react; he's more expert in this than me anyway...)

    Thanks for you answers!

So is the software updated usually?

Or just the 3d content on the marketplace? if so what another alternative i have? Simple and not so expensive?

DAZ|Studio is in a constant state of development, so there are regular software updates. Content updates depend on the product and/or vendor and are not always needed. The kids 4 for example, is older content, developed in the time that most content here was made for (at that time) DS3 and/or poser. Installing back then was different. If you have bought Kids 4 recently, you'll have 3 'new' (new in regard to the older way) options for instaling; connect, dim or manual install (I never use dim or connect). But being older content, setting up the morph/shapes for use differs from that used with the 'genesis' generation. As I had already done that 'the old way', and in Poser, I never tried the powerloader to enable the morphs (In a way, in most cases, it is not the content itself that is updated, but the installer....)

There are other stores, but usually you will have to manual install content bought from there. Same goes for most freebies...
