Shell export OBJ material tags

When I export a character with a shell layer because the main body and the shell have the same naming of the surfaces the shell layers material tags get overwritten. To avoid this I renamed the surfaces on the main character but after a save and reopen the shell layer takes on these new surface names.
I there a way around this? To get the shell independent surface names?

Have you tried the current Public beta?
No do you think that might fix the issue?

Ok amazing will try now. I never installed a beta, does it install alongside? Can I downgrade if any problems?

The Beta has to be installed via Install Manager, it runs alongside the release build (and does have its own settings in many respects) so they should not interfere.
Thank you, got the beta and problem solved. Now OBJ has tags amended with the layer name.
