"It's astounding, time is fleeting, madness takes its toll..."
Except that ZBrush doesn't have per-pixel painting at all, and getting polypaint to images can be a bit of a fiddle. Still, I agree that ZBrush is generally slicker than 3D Coat although the latter does have some other features that aren't in ZB, which is what it needs to make a home for itself.
Well that -- but my point is, ZBrush has had time to establish itself as industry standard in many ways, whereas (as I've understood it) 3D Coat is a new kid on the block.
I would not OBJECT to having import-export thingie for 3DCoat, I think it would be AWESOME, but I won't FAULT DAZ for NOT having made one already, or not having plans to make one until it is better established.
...for years, Hexagon has been about as stable as stable as an F-117 nighthawk in which the computer controlled Fly By Wire system failed yet there still is a bridge to it.
Just that saying Daz also should begin investigating the possibility of providing links with third party software that is more affordable for those of us (who I believe are the majority here) who cannot justify the expense of high priced pro grade software like Photoshop CS and Z-Brush on our budgets. True, it is a two way street as the vendor of an app like 3DCoat must agree to such an arrangement, however in this case it would be a win - win for everyone involved.
...and again a Daz - Blender bridge would be so bloody useful.
excuse me, I must have wandered into the wrong thread. I thought this was the stupid thread.
...yeah, we ended up in another one of those stupid discussions about supposedly "important" stuff again.
...my bad.
...oh, dear me, it's 15:30, happy hour down at the corner pub. Time for my afternoon stupid therapy.
..a couple or three pints, and I'll be right stupid again.
...
...isn't that what a blues or rock and roll guitarist uses?
Social medium rare.
Play that funky Dr.
...hear hear. (except for Misty who does such a great job posting pics of tasty goodies here).
sadly I did take photos of cakes etc I made
Cakes are different. Cakes are display pieces as well as food.
Yeah, that's pretty much how it happened. Don't end up like me, kids!
...
Not one of my photos but it is food
...and now, The MelonZ with their smash #1 hit, Spittn' Seeds Over You.
...
Well speaking as a former folklorist/cultural anthropologist (studied for three years in university before realizing how lousy scientist in that regard I'd be -- I just wasn't made for it, and thus I went back to IT when a job opportunity arose), this is actually a treasure-trove of research material. Before (when film and developing was expensive -- if it was cheaper where you live, go you, but this was not the case where I live), people did not document their everyday life like they do today -- it was holidays, celebrations, mourning and such. It did not give an accurate feel of a period of time, because everyday artefacts were hidden from sight.
Imagine if you had to reconstruct an everyday scenario based on those photos alone. Wedding and maids-of-honor dresses for women, tuxes for men, baptism gowns for kids...
Every day Artifacts? Who cares? Well some do I guess. Tweet it, Facebook it, PhotoBucket it and other popular types of mega sharing have just got to be a bit much. I do not need, have never needed and hope to never need 127 photo's of anyone's food, cat, dog, fish, car, house plant, toes, feet, project in the basement, organic baby food, cool ant bed in backyard, or other assorted hyper photoed items.
I'm old fashioned I guess. Give me Tom and Jane's First dance at the Wedding Reception, Mary and Harry on the beach, Jack and Jill up the hill. I don't even need to know any of them, those real none digital you took time to make them, save them, put them in a Album you dug out to show me pictures mean much more than a tweeted "My brekky," from every angle you can hold a smart phone or tablet. Just saying...
Now tell us how it was uphill both ways, waist-deep in snow, with wolves lurking around... ;)
...don't forget the 30# book bags filled with school books (35# if you went to the school I attended).
Hmm... skeptic's...
Annnnnnd he delivers!
I will accept cats as substitute.
Also, ouch. It is stupid how I keep stressing my right arm, when it obviously needs rest.
But my art demands me to continue!
I got way too many things going on at one time for it to ever know I could just relax if I wanted too.

And that is after I cut down on what I wanted to do... I'm so STUPID!
Welp, my mom *wince* is coming over for the weekend, so unless I feel the need to escape into art, my shoulder should get all the rest it needs.
...I guess "escaping into art" would carry more weight than me saying, "sorry mum, Arsenal's on the pitch against Newcastle this weekend."
More fresh stupid just came over the wire...
