Has anyone seen a pre-maid hair that would do the trick? long, straight and parted in the  middle?

Fabiana's Eternal Kyra for gen4 is also in that style. It has bangs that can be turned off. On sale until the end of the month, I think. At Rendo.

Flo hair is free. It's kind of low quality though (not great for close-ups), but should be fine for mid-range to distance.

Looks a lot like the 1st hairstyle I ever made in Carrara:

I've got a video tutorial on how to make hair just like that, it's pretty simple and easy.  Philemot has a free plugin that turns Carrara hair into mesh, which then could be used in other applications, so theoretically it doesn't have to be used in Carrara only.
