Back wards compatible

A simple dumb question. Is 4.10 backwards compatible with files created in 4.8 or do I need to open and re-save them in 4.9 first? A silly question I know, But after going from 4.4 to 4.6 and discovering that I couldn't access most of my saved projects anymore I have to ask before I upgrade.

I've had no problems opening and using my old saved scenes and presets (from Studio 4.9)
