Selecting figure rather than specific elements

I am sure this is simple and the answer is available but I can't find it. When I click on a figure, at present it selects that portion (arm, leg, chest, whatever) rarther than the entire figure. I must have changed a setting, but haven't a clue which.

Help please?

    Double-click will select the figure, and there's also the right-click menu, but to change the default behaviour use the Tool Settings pane.

    Thanks Richard. I always forget we don't get notified of updates to these. I'll try that.

    MJW you will get a notification if you click on the star at the top of the page
