The image does not become `sharp´ - it stays blurry/high ISO...

I´m not sure how to explain it in english, the render does not become totally sharp like in the promo renders. It looks gritty...

I alrady searched for topics here, one i could find, (activate firefly filter - its activ default; ...) but it didn´t solve ma problem.

What am I doing wrong?

If I shall post my render setting, tell my wich menu.

I was really good in renderin and all the settings... in 2012 ;) now i do not recognize DAZ Studio.

Please help! :)

  • I don't see any images, but this sounds like the problem in Iray when there is not enough light (assuming you are usign iray and haven't chnaged the render settings). Is your figure in an enclosed or semi-enclosed set?

  • I tried a test, another prop, + Char, and all settings the same...

(Enough time, enough detailes... but the fern lake stays well, bad, the M4 seems to be sharp...) In addition there are these purple spot, first i thought this shall be flowers, but there are textures missing. Has someoone the same problems with the bundle? The Into the woods doesn`t load the textures at all. :(

the purple spots are not visible in the scene : https://sta.sh/0br8yyc2lzn

same light, same time (15 min)  https://sta.sh/0eou1zogfwp -  Fern Lake, without DoF (16 min).. https://sta.sh/0p635ru0hvo

What are your Filtering settings, image looks blurry, as your are not using DOF seems like Pixel Filter Radius is high. Also please show your Tone Mapping settings.

  • What light setting ar you using? How quickly does the render product iterations (if you click History on the Progress bar while rendering you should see it updating, does it go one-by-one or does it go in bigger jumps between updates)?

I used the light from stonemason enchanted forest, it*s premade and lights every part of the lake very good...

The render acxtualizes immediately, i have 1 second update.

I do not have the problems with other props i a i tried the last hours... just with this fern lake. :/

Others get very sharp aafter about one hour...

Pixel Filter Radius default value is 1.5, the higher the value the higher the blurring.

I usually change filtering to lancoz(spelling) and set it to 1
