Best practice for moving content library?

Hello. I'm interested in moving the DAZ/Poser content library off of the C drive of my computer to a much larger external drive.
Is this simply a matter of moving the directories and updating the Content Directory Manager preferences in DAZ Studio that point to the new directories? I note that the DAZ Install Manager only lists a "Recommended DAZ Studio/Poser Content Folder" on the C drive as the installation location, with no apparent way to change that.
So I'm wondering if there are best practices information, or a guide available before I try doing this.
Thank you!

While I'm not sure about your larger question, I do know that it's possible to change the install location of DIM. Instructions can be found here: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/install_manager/userguide/configure_install_manager/tips/setup_my_download_locations/start
Thanks. That worked for the Install Manager part of the issue (after adding new install directories, since you can't edit the "recommended" location). So I'm proceeding with moving the content directories and updating the software preferences to point to the new external drive location -- and crossing my fingers that this won't break the content library!
One thing you may need to do (if your Content Library appears to be broken after all this) is to add the new content directory locations to the Content Directory Manager.
