Well, after winning Stonemason's competition, I'm sure it's no great surprise to anyone the quality of Laticis's Art. But I went to his Deviant Art page and noticed something I thought worth pointing out.

In his winning entry Remnant of a Time and with most of his art, but especially noticible in The Long Journey, and In Days Past, he does something I personally really enjoy seeing in pictures. That is, he hints at a story without telling it. It invites the viewer to come up with the story, thus engaging them more fully in the image. I think it's a great artistic technique and well demonstrated here. :)

[Edit] This also demonstrates how effective use of emotions can add to an image.

Agreed. He is a great story teller.

... and he is a good promotor for 3Delight; I mean: not going with the hype of 'realism'.
He knows that good art is not something that comes 'out-of-the-box' when you have bought plug-ins and downloaded Luxrender.
    Laticis knows his stuff.

I really like the freebie pose set he made. I'm surprised he isn't selling content here. That set is easily as good as many I have bought. =-)

    He start doing that. It's a light-set: http://www.daz3d.com/portrait-lighting-tutorial-for-ds4
But I learned that from him last year on deviantART.
