Vintage Motorcycle by Ansiko
I just bought the model as I find it quite appealing and had a specific use for it. So I gave it a try right away. To my surprise, when I tried to turn the wheels, I discovered that the rotation bone was not centered to the wheel axis but on the perifery ,so the wheel instead of turning was moving out of position. That was an easy fix, I just moved the bone to its proper position. BUT, to my even greater surprise, turning the wheels I discovered that they were NOT round. They are oval by quite a large margin. Actually, not the tyre, but the rim. And I don't believe this was intentional. So, animating this model is out of the question.
What on earth is happening with good modeling? And with testing and checking ? Sorry to say, but I am not happy and I don't think this is acceptable. I never complained about a product before and I never returned one either but I coudn't help it with this one.
I would certainly like to know if there is going to be a fix for this model any time soon so I know how to proceed.

That sounds like a serious problem... Have you put in a support ticket describing the problems so that they can fix it? https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Consider submitting a support ticket for technical support regarding the issue (I am operating under the assumptioin you contacted Sales for the return). As far as I know, even if you explain why you returned an item, that data may not make it to the vendor. But a support ticket to the tech folks should alert the vendor there is an issue.
I won't mention any particular model or vendor, but I have got quite a few car models with doors that do not open and wheels won't rotate and steeringwheel won't turn.
Interesting, never noticed that.. I will say that as far as accuracy to the real thing? its pretty close, but not quote a cigar. (its not a knucklehead, its a flathead WLA variant), I do wish that there were better material zones (eg, on the frame, would love to delete by making transparent those saddle bag frames )
I ran a cut down '36 ULH Harley waaay back in the day, so I was had great hopes for this..
You will want to go here - https://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us - and submit a help ticket.
Thanks for the info guys. Since I never returned or complained about a product before, I am not familiar with the procedure. I was actually hoping that the creator himself, keeping track of the feedback from the field would eventualy jump in an do it on his own initiative. At least this is what I would do. Remains to be seen. Aside from the above mentioned problem, I like the product and I'd rather have it fixed than return it.
That is what is known as a design "choice" not a design flaw. Don't think there is any rule at Daz that says the PA has to rig these parts, but it would be nice if it said they were static in the description.
Daz handles the support for PAs, that’s part of their publishing agreement. You log a ticket, Daz manages the request and contacts the PA if a fix is required.
Well I've learned one thing. If the description lists the rigged parts one can assume it's a working model, if there is no mentioning it is a static model and it will not enter my cart;)
Has anyone noticed that on the left side of the tank, the logos come out mirrored?
Oeps, a rare glitch of Ansiko.....probably a UV mapping error.......to much symetry can byte you...left decals and right decals are chiral in this case....
Greets, ArtisanS
Well. to be fair, yes, anyone can make a mistake with UV mapping or textures. BUT, given the oval wheels and the rotation bone not centered to the wheel axis, the real issue is does no-one check thios sort of thing before turning it loose into the wild? Surely DAZ QC should have caught this...
I have to agree, that is a good question.
