any way to add splatters or stains to clothing?

This for daz3 (or 4 as I assume it would prettymuch be the same way for each) but how can you add stains or smears on clothing with different colors? is there a way or product for this? thx.

Easiest way is to open the texture in photoshop or gimp and apply a smear\stain overlay (or smear\stain brush) and save that texture as a different name and load that one on the clothing item.
Or save as a PNG, or save a separate alpha image (white where the stain is opaque, black where it is absent, and grey where it partially covers the fabric) and apply that to the texture in the Layered Image Editor - which allows reuse. Look at some of Marieah's products in the store to see what can be done (and the Grimeizer might be just what you need).
Don't assume it's the same for DAZStudio 3 and 4, there are plenty of plug-in products that work on one but not the other, and some that work on only DS4.0 or DS4.5. Take a look at the Hybrid Grunge Bundle for DAZStudio 4.5. If that doesn't give you what you're looking for then I'm agreeing with ZevO . . .
GIMP is a free, open-source 2D program comparable to Photoshop. Try this: in GIMP open one of the clothing's textures, then right-click on it in the layer-window on the right and make a New Layer in white. Use the Bucket Fill tool to color the layer whatever color you want your stain to be, then in the layer-window right-click on your stain-colored layer and Add Layer Mask in black (full transparency), then change the layer's Mode to Multiply. Use the Pencil tool to paint white onto the stain-layer's Mask where you want the fabric to be stained. If the stain's too dark, adjust the layer's Opacity. If it's too sharp, apply some Gaussian Blur (Menubar > Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur) to the mask.
Export your work to a different name than the original, then in DAZStudio 4.x in the Surface tab change the Diffuse map to the texture you just stained. Sorry for the brevity, hope this helps!
