Hey all! So, I am in the process of trying to create a really realistic render and I was wondering if any of you guys know of some really good photo realistic hair?

I posted this in another thread on the same topic:

For photorealistic hair in DAZ Studio, your best bet might be to go with Look At My Hair or Garibaldi...I haven't used either yet, but I just got LAMH and am excited to try it out. And both represent a new, developing technology that will only improve over time...

Aside from these, my favorites so far, for women, are Gia Hair by AprilYSH and Gregoria Hair by 3Dream and Mairy. But there are plenty of other great ones, by these and other vendors.

I've gotten almost all my hair at DAZ, but some other stores have some excellent hair models, too, especially Sonia Hair (I can vouch for this one) and others by StudioArtVartanian at Renderosity, and Desir Hair by AlfaseeD at RuntimeDNA (I don't own this one, but it looks great).

I'll also take the opportunity to plug my hair tutorial (linked in my sig), which offers suggestions on maximizing realism among other things.

Since then I've used LAMH a bit and am enjoying it so far. Another thing I maybe should have added is to consider fibermesh hair. There are some examples of this in the store, mostly by Neftis3D.

I recommend Look At My Hair or Garibaldi.

I recommend an artistic procedure I call "being Mavrosh." This should enable you to paint gorgeous hair in postwork.

If that's not one of your options, LAMH and Garibaldi are probably next best.
