DS 4.10 uninstall/re-install problems

I had to do a clean uninstall/re-install for DS 4.10 and I have been running into some problems.

I don't know whether or not I've installed Genesis into DS, for I get error messages saying that it isn't there.

I've been running DIM and installed through DIM, no change at all.

Also, I don't see a My Libray under X:\Xxx\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio, just the My Daz Connect Library.

It's been quite frustrating.  Can someone help me with this?

Thanks

Jay

I was having the same problem. Just fixed it. Assuming you are on a PC, not an Apple:

I added postgresql CMS from the Daz Install manager{DIM}.

                                                  I opened Daz Studio.

At the bottom of the Content Pane, there was a bright blue button to conect to the CMS. I clicked it.

Still none of the content I just installed, So I used the DIM to uninstall and then reinstall it.

                                                   Content is there now.

                                                     Hope this helps you.

  • Thanks dweomer for your help.

Yes, I am running on a PC, and I followed the steps you gave me about the postgresql CMS from DazDIM.

I tried the DIM thing and it managed to install some of the Genesis content I wanted, but in my MyDaz3dLibrary folder, not the My Library one on the Daz Folder in Documents.   So, I donno, it maybe that I'm using a newer version of DazStudio 4.10, but I did managed to get Genesis 2 and 3 figures to work, I've yet to get G8, I may have to uninstall/re-install.

    Attached is some screen shots.

    Many thanks,

    Jay

You can override/change the default install directory with the DIM, though I haven't used that recently.

I've run into problems doing that because some older content still has some path dependencies.

  • I see.  Thanks!

    Happy Holidays,
