same image multiple UV maps

Do you save memory when you assign the same image to multiple UV maps, or does it treat them as separate images and double the amount of RAM it uses?

  • In Daz studio? each image is loaded only once, as far as I am aware. That seems to be why the gamma can sometimes behave in unexpected ways if an image is assigned to multiple channels.
