Autofit Hair and Morphs

I hope I am doing something wrong and/or there is a work around. When I autofit some hair models from Genesis 3 to Genesis 8, the morphs stop working. The morph sliders for Styling and Features (like bows or flowers)( are still in the parameters window, but they don't do anything. In the Autofit dialoque box, I select Genesis 3 Female and then Hair -> Short (or Shoulder length as appropriate).  Are there any other options or steps I should be doing?   If you have Summer Fun Hair, could you please try it and see if it works for you?

That's a characteristic of Autofit. It loses morphs. Sickleyield has a threa and Youtube video about rigging items from G3 to G8. Sickleyield's method will retain all morphs and is pretty straightforward. You can save her results as a preset so the item can be reused without re-rigging everytime.

Auto-fit does not lose actual morphs, they are relocated so harder to find.  Morphs that are not actual morphs but controllers for custom bones will be lost because Auto-fit removes the obect's own rigging and replaces it with the figure's.

I just completed the transfer process using SickleYield's tutorial.  It was quick, simple, and worked perfectly for the hair models I was testing in the scene.  Thanks for the tip fastbike1 and thanks for the information jestnart.  I recall reading about this but did not think of applying it to hair.  This really opens up my Library!

Follow up:  As with anything, results may vary. For the Summer Fun Hair specifically, everything worked fine until I applied "Fit to Genesis 8 Female"  This messed up the front of the hair style and nothing I did with the styling controls fixed it.    WORKAROUND:  I used the process all the way up to "Fit to Genesis 8 Female".  At that point I parented the newly rigged hair to the G8F head.  That seems to work fine. See attached picture for the issue with the front of the hair.  While I have a solution, any ideas on what is going on here is appreciated.
